RENT THE RUNWAY Clearance HAUL | Final Sale Bags Review

I bought two bags from Rent the Runway Clearance at around 90% off ORP to test if it’s worth it and here is what I received.

It’s a final sale items so you always risk getting something not in perfect condition but at around 90% off ORP, I thought it was worth the risk to try out!

Item Details:

3.1 Phillip Lim, Croissant Leather Shoulder Bag ($495 original retail)

For $56 (88% off)

and

Nanushka Accessories, Black Tao Belt Bag ($385 original retail)

for $39 (89% off)

I paid total:

Subtotal                      $92.00

Shipping               $5.95

Tax                          $6.88

Order Total        $104.83

That’s instead of £880 Original Retail ( RTR: “This number represents the “Original Retail” or “Comparable Value” price.”) price which does not yet include taxes and shipping cost.

What do you think? Would you shop RTR clearance?

3 Good Subscriptions to Try

Most of us would love to do something to positively affect the future and be a bit more environmentally friendly.

Why not try a subscription option from companies that do exactly that. You can enjoy trying out new things whilst somebody else takes care of everything for you while you save some money and help the environment in some kind of way.

It’s also usually an independent start-up, a business with a great innovative idea and involves people that really want to do something good for the world. So why not try their product out and see how it goes?

I personally have been using these three subscriptions/apps below and they are absolutely amazing. I cannot recommend them highly enough. One is a referral so if you do try, I will get a little reward(a discount off my next order).

Environmentally friendly. Saves you money. Sounds like your cup of tea?

Oddbox

As they describe themselves on LinkedIn: “Eat good. Do good. Stay odd. Rescuing the “too-wonky” and “too-many”, direct from farmers. ” The idea is that your weekly or bi-weekly subscription will be delivered full of veggies and/or fruits, that otherwise would be thrown away because they don’t meet supermarket standards or were too many. Click below for my referral link to activate your discount!

Too Good To Go

Not a subscription but still a great app to try out. From their website: “Too Good To Go is a community of Waste Warriors fighting food waste together. As a user, save meals from stores and food professionals around you.” “Too Good To Go is the app that lets you rescue unsold food at your favorite spots from an untimely fate.” I myself have saved 28 bags so far, that amounts to approx 70kg CO2 saved, as well as £217!

TheVeganKind

From their website: “Whether you are newly vegan, or long term, our vegan boxes are designed to add a bit of flare to your month! We scour the land looking for exciting new products, and ship them all to you in a carefully packaged box once a month. You never know what you will get! – but you can rely on Team TVK to craft vegan boxes that are 100% cruelty free, exciting, and exceptional value for money.”

I have been subscribing to the box since around 2016! Love discovering new things. It’s also great that you can pause your subscription for up to 3 months, if you need a little break or if you are travelling.

Use code “VEGAN” and get £5 off. No catch! (offer available at he time of this blog post going live)

Hope you try, and if you do – enjoy!

World’s First Sparkling Water Glass

Everyone that knows me know how much I love sparkling water so when my friend Kai invited me as a plus one to a water tasting dinner, to celebrate the launch of the world’s first sparkling water glass by SodaStream, I immediately said yes!

The evening was absolutely amazing, my mind was blown by how interesting a water tasting can be, and it was just an introduction to it! The location @farmacyuk is so pretty! And the sharing menu was fully vegan, gf and organic, and so so good I want to go again tomorrow! 😋

Let’s talk about the reason we were there, the sparkling water glass!

The design of SodaStream sparkling water glass is rooted in insight from expert water sommelier Doran Binder and has been beautifully hand-blown by expert glass artist Elliot Walker, winner of Season Two of Netflix’s hit series Blown Away, so it’s sure to be the showstopper on every table.

The launch of the ultimate sparkling water glass celebrates the arrival of SodaStream’s most stylish sparkling water maker to date, the Art. Now, not only is it easier than ever to make your own sparkling water, but you can also enjoy it in a glass that enhances every aspect of your sparkling water too. So, whether you like to enjoy a glass of sparkling water at dinner (or if you are like me and sparkling water is life all day, every day) or want to impress friends with your hosting skills, SodaStream’s special edition sparkling water glass is a perfect choice.

Each glass has been hand blown by Elliot Walker: “I’ve created a whole variety of glass projects throughout my career, but this special edition sparkling water glass has by far been one of my favourites. Whilst following the same brief, each piece is handmade and bespoke, which has a beautiful symmetry with a glass of sparkling water made with SodaStream, as no two bubbles are the same.”

The special edition sparkling water glass is available to consumers from Friday 9th September at 5pm. There will be 100 pieces available to people with the purchase of a SodaStream Art machine (I tested it out, and ohmygod, now I want to replace mine with the new model!) when using the redemption code: ARTOFGLASS. But hurry, the sparkling water glass is only available while stock lasts!

Would you add sparkling water glasses to your home glassware?

Beauty Favourites

Not much can be better than discovering a new excellent skin care product.

Let’s get right into it!

First 3 products are listed on www.lookfantastic.com, if you are new to it, you can use my referral code JUSTINA-RUK to get £10 off your purchase.

Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant

#afflinks

Not a recent discovery but an all-time favourite, a recommendation from a friend. This time I got it in a smaller size to make it easy to take it while travelling as well as fewer chances for it to get too much humidity and powder to change consistency (this happened to me once when I think I may have forgotten to close the cap).

At the moment this travel set is at a crazy good price of £38 instead of £63

Or just get it in full size here for £55.

It might seem pricey but I swear it lasts forever and is worth every penny.

Natura Bissé Stabilizing Cleansing Mask

Discovered this one via Morgan Stewart’s Instagram stories, a life-changer according to her and I absolutely agree.

It does everything a cleansing mask should do and more, feels great while you have it on, and even though they advise it for oily or combination skin types, it works great on my more sensitive/dry & combo skin. Of course, I make sure to hydrate it after, continue reading to see how.

Get it here

Been using it for half a year now and can’t imagine my beauty routine without it. At £41 for 75ml, I thought it might be a bit expensive and it will be finished by now but I still have a lot left!

#afflink

Syrene Aqua Hydrating Masque

A lightweight overnight masque that hydrates and nourishes the skin. I have received it recently and tried it a few times – what a winner.

At £70 for 100ml it might seem a little expensive, but again, a little goes a long way. As the saying goes ‘Honey, it’s not cheap but neither are you!’  (don’t forget to use my referral code for £10 off 😉 )

Get it here

The colour is beautiful, it smells great and the skin feels so lush after using it.

#afflink

Crabtree & Evelyn Brighten + Hydrate Exfoliating Tonic

I was a little scared to try this one as it does so much in one go but now I miss it even if I skip using it for a day or two (forget to pack for travel for example)

As you can see I focus a lot on balancing the skin whilst keeping it hydrated and this tonic fit so well into my routine!

Get it here for £25

Biotherm Aqua Pure Super Concentrate

The most recent addition to my beauty regime, it’s a fast-absorbing fluid moisturiser that targets to refine skin texture, rebalance and hydrate.

It’s super lightweight so skin doesn’t feel like it has too much after adding sunscreen and make up.

Get it here

At the moment it’s on offer on Biotherm website: for $22.40 instead of $32.00

I got it at an airport for around 25 Euros I believe.

Thank You Farmer Sun Project Light Sun Essence Spf50

South Korean featherweight SPF 50+.  It feels more like a moisturiser and not an SPF, love it!

I have now left only a tiny amount so will need to place an order asap – it is an essential and costs £24 for 40ml.

Get it here

Use my referral code JUSTINA-R28 for £10 off if you are new to CultBeauty.

That’s it for today!

A classic that would fit in in everyone’s wardrobe.

5-Bullet Friday | August 2018

Hi All!

Sooo… please welcome the second post from 5 Bullet Friday series!

I definitely enjoy writing these because I get to share a bit more random details form my everyday life, covering 5 things I enjoy and recommend at the time of the post.

Here it goes:

  • Book to read  —  Predatory Thinking by Dave Trot

  • Go try now — Byron’s veggie burger:  JACK STACK

(Veggie bean patty, pulled BBQ jackfruit, guacamole, lime dressed rainbow slaw, baby spinach, coriander). After a while, I visited Byron’s again last night and was so pleasantly surprised with their veggie & vegan options! I tried Jack Stack and it was wonderful! The vegan BEETNIK looked great as well – thinking to go try it out soon!

byronjackstack

  • Can’t live without —  steamer

I think it’s a sort of sign of growing up, caring if you look put together, your clothes are ironed etc.  I thought I’ll share with you with my best friend every morning, helping me to touch up all those stubborn wrinkles! The one I am using is probably the best price and quality combination and I truly recommend it! It’s also very small and perfectly fits in your luggage whilst travelling.

Phillips Steam & Go is a high-end option currently ruling the market and recommended by many fashion bloggers – I personally haven’t tried it yet but thought I’ll add it just in case you are interested in different price points.

  • Currently watching — Medici, Masters of Florence

Have a wonderful weekend, all!

5-Bullet Friday | July 2018

Hi All!

I thought I will start a monthly post series, covering 5 things I enjoy and recommend at the time of the post. Yes, this post is very inspired by Tim Ferris’s weekly newsletter, I hope he won’t mind!

Here is the first dose of “5-Bullet Friday”:

  • Book to read —

Fahrenheit 451 – a dystopian novel by Ray Bradbury.
Trust me.

  • Best shopping finds —

I always am so hopefull when the sales season comes but I end up buying only a few select things! This month I finally got a brown work/everyday handbag, after months of trying to find the perfect one with the perfect shape, size and colour! Finally, I came upon this Michael Kors beauty, Selma!

  • Blog to follow —

Little Grey Box – I stumbled upon it on twitter couple of weeks ago and it became one of my favourite blogs! Here is an excerpt from their about page:

Hi! We’re Phoebe and Matt, award-winning Australian bloggers and professional travel creatives.

A few years ago we both realised we were unsatisfied with the way our lives were going and decided to leave our jobs to pursue our dreams. It was a big decision and a scary moment but it was also incredibly exciting and, hands down, the best thing we’ve ever done. Now, we travel the world creating useful guides and fun travel videos aimed to inspire and entertain.

Phoebe is a travel writer and photographer with a love for storytelling and making people laugh. Matt is a videographer and photographer with a passion for the great outdoors and big adventures.

  • Current obsession —

Tiny houses – I cannot stop watching Youtube videos about them! It is somewhat an increasing trend wave and I cannot say I blame people for being interested in the concept. Minimalism and conscious living is something we should all learn more about.

I hope you have enjoyed my interpretation of a 5-Bullet Friday. Please let me know what you think in the comments below!

Have a wonderful weekend, all!
